Algebra - 5.4 Factoring Quadratics for Zeros - The Factoring Quadratics WS from yesterday was collected and corrected. Problems 25-39 from packet 5.4 were assigned and a selection of problems was modeled for students. They had approximately 35-40 minutes of class to complete the assignment. Problems 37-39 called for students to use technology to find the zeros. Students were allowed to search their own resource or to used www.desmos.com/calculator. HW - finish problems 25-39 if not completed in class.
Pre-Algebra - Represent Proportional Relationships - Quiz today over Representing Proportional Relationships. NO HW
7th Grade Science - Evolution - Class began with a discussion of what students learned from the Bird Beak Lab before taking notes on the three types of camoflage and examples of organisms that use each. Finally students were given an outline for the Camoflage Chameleon activity and time in class to start. Students will have tomorrow to finish "camo'ing" their chameleons. NO HW

ReplyDeleteYou know, Mr. Specht, I came away from today's experience with a puzzled feeling about Problem #2 on p. 134 (I think it was). I just wasn't sure that -3 and 15 were actually unique solutions to the expression presented. Can you reassure me? :) Thanks. Ron Roizen
