Algebra - Comparing Linear Functions - Yesterday's assignment was corrected and collected. A new packet was given for the lesson Comparing Linear Functions 2.3A. Students were given time to read the packet and look at examples before all the examples were worked together in class to answer questions and model correct solutions. Problems 1-3 were then modeled together in class. Finally the daily assignment was given, problems 4-6. HW - finish problems 4-6 if not completed in class.
Pre-Algebra - Rational & Irrational Numbers - Yesterday's assignment was collected and graded while students took a practice quiz on Identifying Rational and Irrational Numbers. Before class ended we reviewed and corrected the quiz in class. HW - study for the Identifying Rational and Irrational Numbers Quiz on Thursday

7th Grade Science - Classification - Yesterdays assignment on Taxonomy and Binomial Nominclature was collected and graded. Today students took notes on Dichotomous Keys and practiced writing a dichotomous key to classify birds. Students were asked to complete the activity of drawing 5 snakes using different characteristics that would seperate the snakes into 2 groups. For example; length (long or short), fangs (fangs or none), pattern (solid or checked). HW - draw 5 snakes with differing characteristics.
